Configuration Management is just one of the tools in a DevOps Technology belt. Managing the configuration of systems, orchestrating application deployment, and keeping environments in sync can be a daunting task for an organization. Fortunately a crop of tools have sprung forward to help where Perl and Bash scripts used to dominate the field.

This session will compare and contrast two popular Configuration Management tools, Puppet and SaltStack. Both tools are designed to aid in the task of Configuration Management, but both tools approach the job from different perspectives.
